Yep, They're Making a 'Jackass 3'

All I know about it is that the release date is set for mid-2009, filming started last January, and that most of the cast will return. I know that Johnny Knoxville and Stevo are returning because I have already seen some footage with them in it. And the footage was not from Jackass 2.5. Not to mention Stevo has already confirmed another Jackass in an interview.

Steve-O, from the popular "Jackass" and "Wild Boyz" shows, went on the Howard Stern show where he revealed that a third "Jackass" film is in the works. via [/Film]

"I was told to rest up for 'Jackass 3' which will start shooting in January," he revealed. Apparently, this new film will be a pre-strike project, that could be released next year.

Even though some of the guys from the first and second movie have stated that they are not excited about a third movie, since it might kill them, the success of the franchise is difficult to ignore. Back in 2002, "Jackass: The Movie" earned around $80 million in worldwide ticket sales, on a $5 million budget. While "Jackass: Number Two" took in close to $85 million on a $11.5 million budget.

I am happier than a pig in shit. Jackass movies bring much joy to me, my wife, and my immature friends. We are all getting to old to do stupid stuff anymore. So, we live vicariously through Jackass.

I kinda liked watching Jackass on MTV once, but that's about it. I'd rather have them do more random hilarious than painful stuff. I know the pain made them famous, but seeing people respond to a man in costume running around, is ten times more satisfying.

...Why? Aren't these people getting a tad too old for pulling stupid shit? I'm surprised they haven't crippled themselves, or picked something up from some of their more unhygienic stunts. I don't have a problem with things like dressing like a panda and making an ass of oneself in Japan. Lord knows I've made an ass of myself on more than one occasion. But to put baby alligators on ones nipples? Taking a dip in some incredibly murky water, with who the Hell knows what floating at the top? Do these people seriously have a collective IQ that is above that of a pigeon? God help us if these people are supposed to be the future of this country.

I think you are putting too much thought into it. The kinda stuff they do doesnt make me laugh as much as it used to, but ill go see it anyway. I just hope steve-o can stay clean during the filiming of the movie xD

^ Yo, of course it isn't as funny as it once was. Most of those old pranks and stuff are so played out. But, for me, it is more of the camaraderie of the guys being back together for some more fun. Jackass is like a bunch of annoying old buddies that pop up every now and again. But I totally know what you mean. And yeah, it would be nice for Steve-O to hang up the drugs once and for all.

That is one of the lasting appeals that it has, I think. They all really seem to like working with eachother. Its just like watching friends do stupid shit. Im happy they are back together again.

Now if only we could get another cky.
