Do you think it wont be as good because team konamiis gone? Akira yamaoka is still doin the soundtrack though isn he? Maybe it will be the story that will suffer their absence and maybe the creativity of the monsters.

I have never played a Silent Hill game (go ahead, shoot me) so I can't say much. I do have some sort of feeling that this is going to disappoint. Normally I'm not pessimistic about developer-changes, but this franchise is... unique.

Well I'm playing it at the moment and what I've seen so far has been really good. Very dark and very disturbing, though the characters are still as dumb and accept everything without question as ever. I guess I can't say 100% what it is like until completion but if it stays like this, then it'll be at the top of my list next to 2.

From your description is sounds as if there haven't been huge strides in game innovation but that they are keeping with the much of the same as in the past. In terms of Silent Hill, that could be a good thing. I don't want SH to end up a shooter like RE4.

I don't see that happening to be honest, if anything, it's a bit more combat-ish like it was in Origins. I mean, it took me a while before I even got a firearm and I've only used it three times.
