Just started playing this at the moment, I don't remember much, if any, of the original PSX game, so it's pretty much all new to me now!

So far it seems good, I think the graphics are really amazing for PSP and the controls are easy to get used to. Though some of the voice acting seems a bit tacky, and the fighting can get a bit boring when there's lots of enemies, I think it will be really good when it gets going. I've heard you meet Cloud in it too, which will be interesting.

Anyone else got a hold of this?

^Still waiting to get it. I just got a new job so hopefully I will own in a few weeks. I still play Final Fantasy VII (PSX) very so often, so my mind is fresh to the events. You should pick it up sometime if you can find it at a good price. I seem to only see it listed online for well over $100 and I think that is ridiculous.

Ahh, shame. It is good, played a bit more today. Still can't get over how good it looks for PSP! The main character also has teh awsum hairz.

I've given up on this now, however. I started finding the fighting repetitive and I was confused to what the hell was going on. I don't think it's a BAD game, but I don't know... It seemed really good to start with but then the fighting was just getting realllllyyyy boring and it was like a chore.

I hope to be getting this game from someone who has a rich momma.

aha, no seriously tho, i dont have a psp cuz the only games i want on it are this game
and god of war, and castlevania. oh and street fighter.
I thoguht this and god of war would of came to the ps2 by now like silent hill origins did.

Street Fighter on the PSP?

Ya, but its not street fighter 4, its Alpha 3 MAX. Also i wouldnt mind getting the family guy game on it, even tho it may suck it.
Also the syphon filter games but i belive those are all on the ps2 now.
