Who is Ed McMahon? Heard his name but no idea. I know who Farrah is though, pretty lady she was.

Ed McMahon was a sidekick to famous American talkshow host Johnny Carson for many years.

I know, poor Billy Mays! Maybe his over excitement killed him, RIP. I used to love watching him on the shopping channels!

Whenever I would see Billy Mays advertising something all I could think of was, "Dear gawd, STOP yelling at me!"

ENOUGH with Michael Jackson coverage. There are some seriously important issues happening in the world right now and all I can get is coverage on an entertainer. Everyone I know has just about had it with all of the ridiculous non-stop coverage.

I'm sick of the sight of him and his name. Got to be honest I really didn't care that much at all when I heard he died, I mean I think it's sad for anybody to be dying that young but come on he was only a musician, you don't see cancer curing doctors get any coverage in papers and they are 2438547958734 times more important really. The world is diverse and run by what people see in the paper or as "cool" it;s never the important things. It's like Jade Goody all over again.

Entertainers are worthy people too. Respect should also be paid to them for the art they contribute with. But otherwise I agree.

I think they are worthy too. Yeah most of them have more wealth and populartiy than the avrage person, but they are human as well. And frankly any life cut short is tragic regardless on who they are or what they did. Yeah at times alot of admirers and (espically) fans really go overboard...and with todays internet age and global media these days it doens make it any better. Still its a loss of life...and everyone is entiled to an opinion, but at the same time it does seem cynical them while there dead. Then again, with some of the other comments Ive seem on other sites and youtube, the ones here are at least honest thoughtful and not nearly as mean spritited.

on a side note, I dont think cancer has been cured.......yet. Hope Im around if it does, since both my parent suffered from diffrent forms of cancer (with one dying from it). Crying or Very sad

Cancer can be cured if found early enough and depending on where it is and how far it has spread. I'm really sorry to hear about your parent dying from it though, I know how it feels to a point because I lost my Great Nan to it and we were pretty close.

On topic I do think the media is proper whoring this out, I can't go to any website hardly without seeing his picture or name and frankly it's stupid and probably a lot to do with why it's annoying me so much. It's not him himself I guess, it's seeing him EVERYWHERE I GO and hearing about how amazing he is and stuff. Like I said before yes- it is sad when anybody [unless it's a murderer/rapist/someone along those lines] dies young, but he's not done anything massively important that has benefited other importantly, it's the way celebrities are viewed these days though ain't it and a lot of people have their priorities wrong with who is actually important and who isn't.

I really hope I don't seem heartless, really I'm not, I hope I've got what I'm wanting to say right. :/
